The Hunt … for incredible food (Seattle, Washington)

SMALL BITE: The Hunt Club at the Sorrento Hotel in Seattle has been around for quite some time. About 30 years, to be more precise. The official hotel restaurant used to be called “Top of the Town,” and it was located on the 7th floor.  According to the food and beverage manager, 30 percent of diners are hotel guests, the rest are locals who come to celebrate special occasions.

SIGNATURE DISHES:  The executive chef draws his culinary inspiration from locally sourced, seasonal produce, meats and cheeses. Some of the more popular dishes include Sautéed Swiss Chard & Poached Eggs on Grilled Rosemary Bread for breakfast; a King Salmon BLT for lunch; and Smoked-and-Slow-Roasted Prime Rib for dinner. The Hunt Club is also known for its homemade tomato soup, which has been on the menu for about 12 years. In the last few years, they have added cream to it.

THE DISH FROM DINERS: “This place is so good, I recently went here for my dad’s birthday and what a great, classic old-school feel. The drinks are amazing, great wine and the food so good. We had some starters in the front before we had dinner. I defiantly recommend getting the cheese place and asparagus to start.”
